Job Description About the RoleThe Senior Manager, Growth Marketing – Apps will lead the strategy and execution of mobile app growth across Dow Jones’ flagship brands, including The Wall Street Journal, Market Watch, and Barron’s. Reporting to the Director of Growth Marketing, this role drives scalable user acquisition, engagement, and subscription conversion by identifying new growth opportunities, optimizing performance marketing programs, and leading rigorous experimentation across channels, pricing, and in‑app experiences.
The role partners closely with Product, Analytics, and cross‑functional teams to improve the overall app experience, strengthen product‑market fit, and translate data‑driven insights into actionable growth strategies.
Work on‑site in our midtown Manhattan office 3 days each week.
You will- Develop, execute and manage the mobile app growth strategy for Dow Jones (WSJ, Barron’s, and Market Watch)
- Create, manage and experiment with new user acquisition performance marketing channels & campaigns
- Identify marketing channels, solutions and ideas that will efficiently bring new customers to our mobile apps and increase revenue
- Partner with our product team to improve the overall digital product app experience to drive habitual reading habits and subscription propensity
- Propose, launch and analyze A/B tests to improve mobile app ad performance, including design, launching new products, and running price tests to maximize conversion rates
- Work closely with cross‑functional counterparts and other teams to develop and sync on overall strategy, execution & reporting
- 10+ years of growth marketing experience, or relevant experience in subscription/product marketing, preferably growing mobile app customer base
- Proven track record of managing app digital marketing activities, app referral programs
- Strong hands‑on experience with mobile app ad platforms, tools and technology, including App Store, Google Play Store, Apps Flyer, Adjust, etc.
- Experience related to product‑market fit, growth at scale, localization, internationalization and personalization of product
- Strong data analysis, visualization and reporting skills
- Organizational skills, integrity and great follow‑through on tasks
- Exceptional analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies
- Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration is preferred
