Overview
5W Public Relations is seeking an Account Executive to join our Corporate practice. The ideal candidate will have experience with Corporate or B2B-focused clients within an agency setting, be expert at pitching, and possess strong account and time management skills.
Responsibilities- Manage team workflow and own account work while driving consistent media results.
- Create and develop media materials – press kits, press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, bios, case studies, etc.
- Develop and maintain relationships with prominent members of the media to secure placements.
- Develop and maintain strategic communication plans, including media opportunities, tactics, and timelines aligned with the overall PR strategy.
- Execute and advise on PR strategies and collaboratively develop strategic media plans.
- Create and develop proactive pitch ideas for clients based on industry trends and announcements.
- Monitor media and seek speaking opportunities for clients as experts in their field.
- Daily client interaction to update, report on and discuss strategy and results.
- Assist in research, writing and development of new business proposals and presentations.
- Provide guidance and leadership to junior staff.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic and creative thinking for clients.
- B.S./B.A. in Public Relations or related field
- 2-3 years of PR agency experience
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong leadership and motivation skills
- Proven client relations and supervisory skills

NYC Salary Range: $68,000 - $72,000 USD

Most roles are based in our New York, NY office on a hybrid basis.
