The Director of Marketing is a senior, client-facing leader responsible for owning pre-sales, RFP strategy, creative direction, and branded content development. This role leads the front end of growth, developing ideas that win business, shaping narratives, pricing concepts, and partnering with media and production teams to bring them to life.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as a senior leader and connector across media, creative, production, and sales
- Mentor and guide team members across disciplines
- Establish best practices for integrated planning, creative development, and execution
- Champion innovation in formats, platforms, and storytelling approaches
- Serve as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal stakeholders
- Own end-to-end RFP and pitch efforts, from strategic approach through final presentation
- Develop compelling narratives, positioning frameworks, and value propositions for prospective clients
- Lead ideation for pitch concepts that blend media, creative, and content innovation
- Coordinate cross-functional contributors under tight timelines
- Support client presentations and new business meetings alongside sales leadership
- Identify whitespace opportunities and differentiated approaches that drive competitive advantage
Creative Direction, Branded Content & Creative Services Oversight
- Lead creative ideation for branded content across platforms, with an emphasis on culture, sports, and storytelling
- Write and shape creative concepts, treatments, and scripts for RFPs and active clients
- Oversee creative services, ensuring quality, consistency, and strategic alignment across all creative outputs
- Partner with production teams to scope, price, and execute content efficiently and at scale
- Manage production budgets, timelines, and resources without sacrificing creative ambition
- Collaborate with talent, athletes, leagues, publishers, and brand partners
- Balance editorial authenticity, brand objectives, and performance goals
Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of experience in marketing, creative strategy, branded content, or production
- Proven experience leading RFPs and pitching to senior client stakeholders
- Strong writing, storytelling, and presentation skills
- Experience pricing concepts and managing production scopes
- Background in sports, culture, or premium content strongly preferred
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Salary Range:
$125,000 - $150,000
