Public Relations Specialist Location : 420 5th Avenue, New York, NY 10018 – Hybrid (2 3 days/week onsite)
Duration : 1 month contract (intention is to continue the contract through 2026 (pending budget approval))Payrate : $27/hr on W2.

The Public Relations Assistant will provide essential day-to-day support for the U.S.

-based Public Relations team and assist in driving successful PR initiatives across eyewear, retail, and digital/eCommerce brands. This role supports the Americas PR Leader and will play a key role in executing and tracking PR strategies, influencer programs, media partnerships, event support, product seeding, reporting, and logistics administration. This position is critical due to increased workload and is intended to ensure smooth operations across PR functions, enabling the team to maximize visibility and results for key brands.

• Support the Senior Public Relations Manager in daily PR functions, including brainstorming, campaign execution, and influencer/PR strategy development.
• Coordinate with external PR agencies to manage editorial requests and ensure smooth operations across campaigns.
• Assist in developing PR assets such as talking points, media alerts, pitches, and quotes.
• Maintain and update media lists and contact databases.
• Compile PR recap reports and track media, influencer, and campaign performance.
• Conduct ongoing influencer research and support influencer gifting and seeding programs.
• Support PR and influencer events, including RSVP tracking, press outreach, product display setup, and onsite logistics.
• Manage product sample and gifting fulfillment, including shipments and inventory tracking.
• Handle operational and administrative needs such as asset requests, store communication, invoice processing, shipping coordination, and budget tracking.
• Assist with paid editorial/media partnerships and organic influencer activations.

• Bachelor s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising/Marketing, or related field (preferred).
• 1 2 years of PR, communications, influencer marketing, or similar experience (internships acceptable if hands‑on).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment with urgency and accuracy.
• Self‑starter with strong follow‑through and ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Occasional travel may be required depending on event and brand needs.

Effective immediately, OIG/GSA/OFAC Exclusion Screenings are mandatory for all contractors supporting any Essilor Luxottica or Eye Med brand.

• Screenings must be completed before start date.
• Eye Med contractors require monthly screenings by the 4th of every month throughout the assignment.
