Medik8 is a UK-based clinical skincare brand built on science, innovation, and a mission to deliver visible results without compromise. With a growing global presence and rapid expansion in the North America market, we are looking for a North America Lead Designer to join our Integrated Marketing team.
In this role, you will lead the full-funnel design adaptation and regional execution across all North American marketing touchpoints and channels—driving brand awareness, consideration, and conversion.
Rather than generating net-new global brand concepts from scratch, your primary mission is to champion, adapt, and localize global master creative toolkits and frames to ensure maximum cultural relevance, commercial performance, and channel optimization across NA touchpoints.
You will operate as an individual contributor on Day 1 and serve as the creative bridge between Global Brand Creative and local execution, with the opportunity to manage a junior designer in the future as the North America team expands, alongside acting as creative lead with local agency partners.
Key Responsibilities Regional Creative Leadership & Adaptation- Operates as the brand guardian for the North America region, ensuring the market has compelling, cut-through creative that is fully localized while maintaining strict consistency with global brand identity and guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with the Global Brand Creative team to ensure all North America regional design adaptations reflect global brand toolkits, guidelines, and core storytelling.
- Lead the adaptation, transcreation, and execution of regional assets across key touchpoints, including paid media, digital/D2C site assets, email, OOH, visual merchandising (VM), retail POS, brand events, and promotional collateral.
- Partner closely with regional team leads across Brand, D2C, PR/Events, and Sales to translate commercial objectives and launch priorities into brand-right design executions.
- Stay abreast of North American cultural, competitive, and market nuances to inform regional copy and visual creative output.
- Direct, mentor, and opportunity to manage 1 direct report, overseeing day-to-day workflow, project prioritization, quality control, and ongoing professional development.
- Serve as the design lead for external agency and production partners on regional initiatives to ensure campaign creative aligns with brand standards, schedules, and budgets.
- Manage end-to-end routing, review, and asset delivery, ensuring all regional requests are delivered on time and execute flawlessly across channels.
Essential
- Technical Proficiency: Expert, hands-on mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro) to independently build, resize, and output production-ready assets.
- Adaptation Expertise: Proven track record of taking global master campaign toolkits and successfully adapting, resizing, and transcreating them across diverse regional digital (D2C, web, email, paid social), print, and retail touchpoints.
- Regional Brand Stewardship: Solid experience in production design, digital design, or asset adaptation within the beauty, skincare, or prestige consumer sectors.
- Channel Savvy: Deep understanding of North American retail environments (e.g., Sephora, Ulta) and digital performance media specs.
- People Management & Mentorship: Experience managing or mentoring junior designers, coordinators, or freelancers.
- Location: NYC-based and comfortable working in a hybrid model (2 fixed days per week in our NYC office space).
