Marketing Manager

Potential candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in publishing and design/marketing and demonstrate a solid understanding of Verso’s list and publishing project. Candidates should be prepared to submit a portfolio of design work.

Verso’s Marketing Manager will:

• Work with the global marketing team to create Verso’s global marketing and communication strategy.
• Create original graphic content; develop, deploy, and analyze creative content on all of our online platforms; and develop campaigns to reach and engage new audiences.
• Work closely with select authors and editors on video and audio projects. Demonstrate proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud, GA4, Klaviyo, and social media analytics; understand social media trends and best practices.
• Develop and execute campaigns and materials for individual books, book series, backlist titles and digital products. Manage multiple projects and budgets simultaneously and track performance metrics.
• Demonstrate strong written communication skills. Craft compelling and accurate marketing content that demonstrates a knowledge of our list, including weekly emails to our subscribers, blog content, and social media materials. Create or commission digital assets for multiple marketing campaigns every month.
• Collaborate across Verso’s sales, publicity, and marketing teams to strategically align our books, reach our audience, and meet targets. This will include seasonal marketing campaigns, sale promotions, and backlist campaigns.

This position is a hybrid role, but candidates will need to be able to work in-person at our Manhattan office on a weekly basis.

The salary range is $68,625—$77,100 depending on experience.
