Communications Specialist

The OCM Communications Specialist will execute the communication strategy and support the successful adoption of SAP systems (including S/4

HANA). This role focuses on creating clear, engaging, and targeted messaging that drives awareness, understanding, and commitment across all stakeholder groups.

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive communication plan aligned with SAP project milestones and OCM objectives
• Identify stakeholder groups and tailor messaging to address their specific needs and concerns, with particular focus on plant and manufacturing areas
• Establish feedback mechanisms to measure communication effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly
• Create communication collateral such as newsletters, FAQs, executive toolkits, talking points, and digital content
• Publish weekly newsletters and manage regular communication cadence
• Manage multiple communication channels (email, SharePoint, intranet, town halls, videos) to ensure timely and consistent messaging
• Translate technical SAP concepts into clear, user-friendly language for diverse audiences
• Partner with leadership and change champions to cascade messages and reinforce key project updates
• Facilitate engagement sessions, workshops, and forums to foster two-way communication and address concerns
• Track communication activities and measure impact on awareness and adoption
• Project manage execution of communications materials following established plans
• Provide regular updates to project leadership on communication effectiveness and stakeholder sentiment
• Take direction from client and Insight OCM leads while maintaining communication strategy integrity
• Apply instructional design principles to all communication materials to ensure clarity and effectiveness

• 5 years in Organizational Change Management communications, preferably supporting large-scale ERP implementations (SAP S/4
  
  HANA experience strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in SAP or ERP projects
• Familiarity with SAP systems and business processes
• Experience communicating with plant and manufacturing environments
• Proficiency in digital communication tools (SharePoint, Teams, email platforms)
• Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills
• Ability to influence and build trust across all organizational levels
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
• Project management capability with ability to track and execute communications materials
• Strong instructional design skills for creating effective communication materials
• Exceptional attention to detail in all deliverables
• Ability to work effectively under the direction of a communications lead

• Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR)
• Experience in global or multi-site SAP rollouts
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and their impact on communication strategies
• Plant or manufacturing industry experience
• Prior experience managing large-scale transformation communications
