Silence Please / Silence Please Studios

Part-time
· 20 hours per week, with the potential to become full-time in the future

Silence Please is a New York speaker design studio with a listening room and tea house on the Bowery. Our new creative agency, Silence Please Studios, develops events and experiences that bring together sound, music, spatial design, and cultural programming.

We’re looking for a Brand Partnerships & PR Manager to grow our visibility and bring new commercial opportunities into both businesses. You’ll build relationships with brands, agencies, and media, turning those relationships into paid collaborations, events, creative commissions, and meaningful coverage.

This role combines cultural awareness, strong communication, and the ability to develop and close business.

What you’ll do
  • Identify and approach brands, agencies, and cultural partners across fashion, design, music, hospitality, and related fields.
  • Build a pipeline of paid partnerships, sponsor ships, event bookings, and creative commissions for Silence Please Studios.
  • Understand potential clients’ objectives, budgets, and timelines, and work with our Creative Strategist to develop compelling proposals.
  • Lead commercial conversations, negotiate fees and deliverables within agreed terms, and follow opportunities through to close.
  • Develop partnerships that can extend across events, music programming, product collaborations, and repeat commissions.
  • Build relationships with editors, writers, stylists, and relevant cultural voices.
  • Develop press stories around our speakers, installations, collaborations, and events; write pitches and coordinate press materials, interviews, and visits.
  • Maintain clear records of opportunities, proposals, revenue forecasts, and next steps.
  • Coordinate client commitments and commercial handovers with creative and production collaborators.
  • Turn completed projects into press opportunities and lasting client relationships.
What you’ll bring
  • Experience developing paid brand partnerships or winning creative projects, alongside experience securing relevant press.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence discussing budgets, negotiating terms, and asking for the business.
  • An informed interest in music, design, fashion, and contemporary culture.
  • Organization and persistence: you can manage several conversations while keeping commitments and follow-ups clear.
  • Relevant relationships with brands, agencies, or media—and the initiative to build new ones.
What success looks like

A growing pipeline of suitable opportunities, paid projects and repeat clients, relevant press coverage, and well-managed relationships across both Silence Please and Silence Please Studios.
