Mission Vet Check Program Consultant
The Mission Vet Check Program Consultant plays a vital role in supporting the success of our phone banking program. Working collaboratively with volunteers and staff, you will ensure veterans are followed up with by providing accurate referral information to NYC Department of Veterans’ Services, and providing data and technical support. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about serving veterans and eager to support meaningful volunteer engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Export, organize, and analyze data from Call Hub to maintain accurate records and support data‑driven improvements to the Mission Vet Check program.
- Translate and submit referrals from spreadsheets to Vet Connect to ensure veterans are accurately and promptly connected to appropriate services.
- Support weekly volunteer calling sessions reinforcing best practices, providing basic troubleshooting and logistics support.
- Work closely with DVS on monthly reporting to ensure accuracy in impact data, referral outcomes, and alignment with shared program goals and methodologies.
- Report directly to the Officer of Deep Impact on program outcomes, data trends, operational concerns, and recommended process enhancements.
- Collaborate with New York Cares staff to ensure alignment on program goals, data accuracy, and volunteer support needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success and continuous improvement of the Mission Vet Check program.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when handling large datasets in spreadsheets.
- Experience with data collection, management, and analysis; proficiency with tools like Excel and Salesforce preferred; ability to quickly learn new tools and systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to interact professionally with volunteers, staff, and community partners.
- Strong technical skills and ability to quickly learn new tools and systems. Familiarity with Call Hub phone banking platform a plus.
- Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
- Flexible and responsive to changing priorities and operational needs.
- A passion for supporting veterans and working in a mission‑driven, volunteer‑oriented environment.
