Kehilat Food Pantry — Distribution Support
Kehilat Sephardim Food Pantry is joining Hunger Free America’s MLK Serve-a-thon to help fight food insecurity in the Greater Queens community. Established in 1991, the pantry serves over 1,200 families weekly and distributes more than 8,000 food packages and holiday meals each month.
Responsibilities- Help support the pantry’s distribution line by sorting, packing, and stocking assorted grocery items.
- Assist with client management and maintain efficient line flow.
- Volunteer tasks may include outdoor work; dress appropriately for the weather.
- Lifting of around 10–20 lbs may be required.
Proficiency in Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese is helpful (but not required).
