Concert has led to a benefit concert series that has gone on to raise funds, publicity and awareness for over 400 non-profit organizations as well as an Educational Program to bring jazz back into the schools and donate musical instruments to underprivileged children.
Over the past year Jazz for Peace has garnered support and praise from distinguished Americans such as Senator John McCain, Congressman Dennis Kucinich, activist Noam Chomsky, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg and many more along with music lovers and humanitarians worldwide of all ages and nationalities. Jazz for Peace is a NYC-based organization uniting people and helping to break down the barriers of different race, creed, culture and religions through the art form of Jazz.
The recent concert at the United Nations featured jazz musicians representing Israel, Middle East, Europe, Asia and America performing together for an international audience.
