Non-Profit & Social Impact
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
Do you want to use your creative and technical skills to help save lives? We’re looking for a skilled web designer or developer to help redesign key pages of our nonprofit website, currently in progress kccf.org. Framework:
Next.js Repository:
Git Hub.
- Designing layouts using Figma, Canva, or another preferred tool.
- Enhancing existing pages with consistent colors, fonts, and overall design.
- Aligning visuals with KCCF’s mission and emotional tone.
- Collaborating with our volunteer developer to ensure compatibility with our tech stack (Next.js + Git Hub).
You’ll begin by auditing the current site and proposing a site architecture and design approach, including wireframes and other visual elements. We’ll schedule regular check‑ins to provide feedback and ensure smooth collaboration.
We are redesigning the site to better communicate our impact, streamline donation pathways, recruit volunteers more effectively, and offer automated access to resources for families in crisis. A more user‑friendly and emotionally compelling website will help us raise funds faster, engage more supporters, and reduce friction for families seeking help.
To ensure success, we’ve already built a staging site on a Next.js framework, hosted via Git Hub. We will provide: staging access and existing design files (Figma and Canva); a clear scope of work and weekly goals; a dedicated point of contact for ongoing support and communication; coordination between the designer and our in‑house developer to ensure smooth implementation. We are committed to clear, respectful communication and providing all the materials and feedback needed to support the volunteer’s success.
Koenig Childhood Cancer Foundation Mission:
Koenig Childhood Cancer Foundation provides life‑saving financial and emotional support to children battling cancer and their families.
