Come work with NYC Parks Stewardship to care for local street trees! Volunteers will learn how to aerate, cultivate, mulch, and identify street trees. They will also learn about the important roles street trees play in New York City.
Volunteer responsibilities:
- Aerate street trees
- Cultivate and mulch tree beds
- Identify tree species
Volunteer requirements:
- Age Minimum (with Adult): 7+
- Minimum Age: 18+
Other requirements:
Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone. Dress in clothes that can get dirty and closed‑toe shoes. Face masks may be worn at your discretion.
Benefits:
The event has been funded in part by NYC Service. Space is limited and registration is required.
Population served includes LGBT, low‑income communities, offenders/ex‑offenders, people with disabilities, visitors & travelers.
