Join us as a Volunteer with Jazz for Peace™.

Rick Della Ratta and Jazz for Peace performed at the United Nations in New York on September 25, 2002, leading a band of musicians from multiple continents in a concert that is now considered one of the most significant cultural events of our time. This UN concert sparked a benefit concert series that has raised funds, publicity, and awareness for over 400 non‑profit organizations and supports an educational program that brings jazz back into schools and donates instruments to underprivileged children.

Over the past year, Jazz for Peace has garnered support and praise from distinguished Americans such as Senator John McCain, Congressman Dennis Kucinich, activist Noam Chomsky, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and many others worldwide who value the impact of music on humanitarian causes.

We are seeking volunteers who will find charitable organizations in a particular geographical area (we’ll show you how) and send them the invitation letter (already written) to apply for a Jazz for Peace grant. The grant takes the form of a jazz benefit concert performed by Rick Della Ratta at no cost to the receiving organization. You just need modest computer skills.

• Identify and contact charitable organizations within the assigned region.
• Distribute the invitation letter and provide application instructions.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach and follow‑up communications.
• Coordinate with the Jazz for Peace team to schedule benefit concerts.

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with email.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Self‑motivation and ability to work independently as part of a team.
