Location: Hybrid (180th St, 86th St, Partner sites as needed)
About WSCAHWest Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH) is a leading anti-hunger nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating food insecurity and advocating for systemic change. We provide nutritious food and benefits enrollment with dignity, lead collaborative efforts to fight hunger across the city, and engage in policy advocacy to address the root causes of hunger. Since 1979, WSCAH has put dignity, community, and choice at the heart of supporting food‑insecure New Yorkers and transforming the emergency feeding sector.
WSCAH has grown from serving 100 people weekly to over 120,000 people annually.
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 based on experience and qualifications. WSCAH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including company‑paid medical, dental, and life insurance, retirement plan with 6% match after one year of employment, as well as paid holidays and vacation leave.
Position OverviewWest Side Campaign Against Hunger is seeking a relationship‑driven and strategic Senior Donor Engagement Manager to deepen donor engagement and expand philanthropic support for WSCAH’s mission. This role manages a portfolio of mid‑ and major‑level donors, creates thoughtful and personalized engagement strategies, and partners closely with organizational leaders to inspire sustained giving. The Senior Donor Engagement Manager will strengthen donor relationships through meaningful communication, tailored stewardship, and data‑informed portfolio management, contributing to WSCAH’s long‑term fundraising growth.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
Portfolio Management- Qualify donors within WSCAH’s database and develop prioritized portfolios for the CEO and development team members.
- Manage a portfolio of mid‑to major‑level donors, with an emphasis on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding meaningful gifts.
- Create customized strategies that align donor interests with WSCAH’s priorities and deepen long‑term engagement.
- Meet annual revenue and portfolio engagement goals through consistent, mission‑aligned relationship building.
- Develop and implement intentional touchpoints such as calls, visits, events, digital or written outreach that strengthen donor connection to WSCAH’s impact.
- Ensure timely, personalized stewardship including acknowledgments, recognition opportunities, and impact updates.
- Contribute strategic insight to donor retention and growth initiatives across the development team.
- Maintain accurate donor records in WSCAH’s CRM by promptly logging all interactions, activities, and outcomes.
- Use data and reporting tools to monitor donor engagement trends, identify opportunities, and inform portfolio strategy.
- Leverage research tools including wealth screening and prospect research to identify new prospects and strengthen understanding of donor capacity and interests.
- Partner with Development colleagues, the CEO, and board members to execute cultivation and solicitation strategies.
- Collaborate with program and communications teams to develop compelling donor‑facing content such as impact stories, updates, and reports.
