This is a direct-hire, hybrid opportunity based in New York City.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Individual & Planned Giving Officer will manage and cultivate a portfolio of approximately 300 individual donors and prospects while building meaningful, long-term relationships that strengthen philanthropic support. This position will lead personalized cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and planned giving efforts while collaborating closely with Development and Individual Giving colleagues. The ideal candidate is a relationship-focused fundraiser who enjoys connecting with donors, developing thoughtful engagement strategies, and contributing to a creative, mission-driven environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage a portfolio of approximately 300 donors and prospects, developing individualized strategies for cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and increased engagement
  • Build authentic donor relationships through personalized outreach, meetings, communications, and ongoing stewardship
  • Identify and cultivate planned giving opportunities while supporting the continued growth and engagement of the organization’s legacy giving program
  • Solicit individual gifts, including gifts of $1,000+, and identify opportunities to deepen donor involvement and increase philanthropic support
  • Maintain accurate donor records, activities, and prospect information within the organization’s CRM while using donor data to inform engagement strategies
  • Collaborate with Development colleagues on donor stewardship activities, fundraising appeals, and special events, including occasional evening and weekend events
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated individual and/or planned giving fundraising experience with success cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors
  • Track record of securing individual gifts of $1,000+ and developing lasting donor relationships
  • Strong portfolio management, organization, communication, and follow-through skills
  • Comfort working with donor databases and digital tools; experience with Raiser’s Edge/NXT is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive
  • Collaborative, proactive, and relationship-driven approach with enthusiasm for mission-based work; appreciation for theater and the performing arts is a plus
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
  • This direct-hire position offers an annual salary of $65,000–$75,000 , based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package and standard company-provided equipment.
  • The position follows a hybrid schedule in New York City, with employees responsible for their commuting and parking expenses.
  • Standard business hours apply, with flexibility needed for occasional evening and weekend donor and fundraising events.
