Neurology Practice

Join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals in providing exceptional care at a leading neurology physician practice. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) with experience or interest in neurology to deliver patient-centered care and support the needs of our growing practice.

Collaborating Physicians:
Dr. Gorelov and Dr. Husain. Details follow in responsibilities/qualifications as applicable.

• Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments, including patient histories, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic neurological conditions such as migraines, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and neuropathies.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests including MRI, CT scans, EEG, and lab results to inform patient care.
• Provide patient education regarding conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications to optimize health outcomes.
• Prescribe medications and therapies in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with neurologists, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Perform follow-up evaluations and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in neurology and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical protocols and patient care practices.

• Current and unrestricted New York State Nurse Practitioner license.
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., ANCC, AANP) in Adult, Family, or Acute Care.
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with neurology experience preferred (new graduates with relevant clinical rotations are encouraged to apply).
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR), preferably EPIC systems.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
