6 North Irving - Neuroscience - 717, Syracuse, NY. Clinical, Full-Time (36 hrs/wk) with (3) 12-hour shifts available:
Day/Evenings/Nights, 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am. Rotating weekends and holidays. Req # 31012. Posted 08/31/2025.

6 North Irving - Neuroscience Unit is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide treatment for patients primarily with a stroke diagnosis, as well as respiratory, cardiac, diabetic and renal issues. Pay range: $39.00-$50.00/hour. Sign-on Bonus: $10,000 for Experienced RNs and $5,000 for New Grad RNs. Available schedules: 7:00am-7:30pm and 7:00pm-7:30am with rotating weekends, holidays and other shifts as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Provides professional judgment and knowledge of roles as it pertains to the Crouse Hospital Professional Nursing Practice Model.
  • Carries out duties and responsibilities per legal requirements under the Registered Nurse Scope of Practice, with emphasis on leading a culture of safe care.
  • Responsible for all activities requiring assessment, planning, diagnosing, evaluating, judgment, problem-solving, creating and implementing the plan of care.
  • Provides appropriate education to patients and families to promote health, facilitate rehabilitation and maintain wellness. Evaluates effectiveness and revises as appropriate.
  • Monitors and evaluates patient responses to treatment/plan of care during hospital stay.
  • Utilizes and engages in evidence-based practice to deliver quality patient care.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking in clinical problem-solving situations.
Qualifications
  • Must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing degree program required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
  • For RNs licensed in or after 2017, completion of a Bachelor’s of Nursing Degree will be required within 8 years of licensure.
  • If hired as a Graduate Nurse, a NYS limited licensure work permit must be obtained within 90 days of graduation and the GN must pass the NCLEX within 120 days of beginning employment to obtain NYS licensure.
  • Certification in a specialty area is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
