New York-Presbyterian Hospital Externships

New York-Presbyterian Hospital Externships are for nursing students currently enrolled in a BSN program. Externships give students a chance to increase their skill set and prepare for a career in nursing.

Externs will work in one of the world’s largest academic medical centers. They will work with physicians, allied professionals and other nurses in an environment where they can exchange ideas and increase their medical knowledge. Positions are offered as a Nursing Attendant, Nursing Companion or Summer Nurse Externship. All are part-time nursing positions for nursing students.

Nursing Attendant and Nursing Companion positions accept sophomore or junior BSN students. Senior nursing students may apply for the Summer Nurse Externship. All positions offer hands‑on nursing care experience at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Positions are posted each year in March and April.

UCLA Health Nursing Summer Externship Program offers work experience to nursing students who have completed their junior year and are entering their senior year of nursing school. The externship is unpaid. Externships are offered during the summer and take place at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica, Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA, and The Stewart and Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital licants can choose two specialty areas for their externship.

The externship is designed to help nursing students choose a career path in nursing.

St. John Medical Center Nurse Externship Program is for nursing students who are just two semesters away from graduation. Senior-level nursing students may apply. To be eligible, students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above. They must also be able to work the required number of hours during the semester. The externship places nursing students in real work environments where they can apply their classroom learning in a hospital setting working with real patients.

Bain & Company offers students who have graduated from college a unique career in corporate strategy consulting. Students who join the Bain team are offered externship positions that allow them to jump start their career through six-month working assignments at other companies where they can pursue different career paths. As Associate Consultants and Senior Associate Consultants, team members have an opportunity to broaden their consulting knowledge at consumer product companies, international think tanks, nonprofit charter schools, startup companies, and others.

Following a six-month externship, consultants return to Bain with increased skills as a consultant and enhanced knowledge of other industries.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW Cholla Medical Group, Inc. is proud to announce five (5) Externship positions through our medical practice. A unique opportunity for medical Doctors introducing skills and experiences necessary to succeed in the challenging health care environment of tomorrow. This is a program that is designed to prepare medical doctors for residency by providing the opportunity to have hands on experience up to twelve months.

Our practice will introduce those selected to accompany Family Medicine physicians, and/or residents, on their rounds. A full introduction to the ever-expanding geriatric care will include exposure to additional learning experiences in innovative procedures and practices in Assisted Living Facilities.
