We are seeking a weekend per diem RN to join our Surgery Center team in Margate, FL. The schedule is on call/as needed weekends (with a start time of 7 am), and must have availability for 2 full weekends per month as needed and rotating holidays (one major and one minor holiday).
How You’ll Contribute- Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems and formulate patient care plans
- Perform initial preoperative assessment, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery
- Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
- Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
- Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
- Active RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- 2–3 years of clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU (strongly preferred)
- Proficiency with IVs required
- Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
- Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
