Advent Health Connerton

Specialty hospital for medically complex patients. Pulmonary and Vapotherm Center of Excellence. Staff consists of all Registered Respiratory Therapists, 65% BSN or higher RNs. Current staff certifications include CCRN, PCCN, CNML, WCNC, NEA‑BC, and RN‑BC. Onsite BSN completion program partnership with South University with staff discounted rate. Simulation Lab and Clinical Transition Pilot Program.

Role Overview

The Manager will be responsible for all the following duties and responsibilities in collaboration with the Department Director. These will include, but are not limited to: customer satisfaction, financial management, regulatory compliance, human resources issues, employee competency, performance improvement, and maintaining and complying with policies and procedures and regular communication with employees. The Manager provides leadership and oversight with all unit functions and patient care issues on a day-to‑day basis.

Occasional duties and responsibilities may occur outside of typical office hours. The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for patients and/or assigned groups of patients within a patient care unit and for the day-to‑day management and supervision of the related clinical activities. The RN also supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel utilizing professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment, while practicing within state, facility and regulatory guidelines.

  • Oversees staff performance, manages staffing, hiring, orientation, and discipline, while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Manages budgets and resources, maintains appropriate staffing and understands healthcare finance.
  • Utilizes critical thinking and technology in decision‑making, problem‑solving, and integrating new systems to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Provides strong leadership and mentorship, ensures high‑quality clinical care, supports staff development, and maintains clear communication and planning for patient care delivery.
  • Encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and maintains positive relationships with patients, staff, vendors, and other departments to ensure patient‑centered care.
Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's of Nursing (Required)
  • 1 Year of Work Experience (Required)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) (Required)
  • Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) (Required)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) (Required)
  • 5 Years Leadership Experience (Preferred)
