The Clinical Nurse contributes to creating a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues through kindness and active listening. Recognizes and values each employee’s contribution to the success of the Mission.

• Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and special tests, and documents treatments as required by policy and regulations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
• Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care.
• Uses sound nursing judgment in patient care decisions.
• Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
• Administers medications as ordered.
• Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for patients.
• Guides ancillary personnel and maintains professional nursing standards.

• Graduate of a professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree).
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS (must be maintained).
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and problem-solving tools.
