** Triage - Registered Nurse (RN)

* Location:

Bohemia, NY
**** Hours/Days: M-F (8.5hr Shifts)
**** Organization :

New York Cancer And Blood Specialists (NYCBS)
**** In this role, you will:**
* ** Create individualized care plans for patients under your supervision and care.**
* ** Must possess strong critical thinking skills to evaluate patient symptoms rapidly and make informed decisions about their care priorities.**
* ** Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge**
* ** Ability to convey information clearly and compassionately**
* ** Provide supportive resources to the patient and the families to promote a positive outlook.**
* ** Teach patients and the families regarding treatment expectations.**
* ** Watch and record the patient’s progress on a constant basis**
* ** Chart the patient’s response to treatment and medication.**
* ** Complete MAR after treatment.**
* ** Provide the patient with discharge instructions that are specific to the patient as well as emergency numbers after care**
* ** Complete injections
**** We require:**
* ** Valid New York State RN License**
* ** Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.**
* ** Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)**
* ** Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching**
* ** Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
