*** Responsibilities:
** GENERAL

PURPOSE:

Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

FT position available (40 hrs), daytime 8 or 10 hour shifts, Monday
- Friday.

GI nurse opportunity in a fast-paced, growing outpatient endoscopy center. The position involves caring for procedure patients throughout all phases of care including pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and recovery. Applicant must enjoy being a part of a team of nurses, support staff, and highly skilled physicians affiliated with an academic medical center. The ideal candidate will have excellent IV and assessment skills, moderate sedation competency, and the ability to organize and prioritize care.

Must have 3 years nursing experience and NYS license. GI experience preferred, but not required.
