Clinical Coordinator- RN

Job Summary:

The clinical coordinator will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical care in the ED department in collaboration with the Director. They will facilitate department activities, coordinate patient care, and ensure adherence to nursing care standards. The role includes acting as a clinical resource and mentor, participating in performance improvement activities, and staff development.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain current licensure and/or required certifications. (Employees not in compliance will be placed on leave without pay.)
• Complete annual Mandatory Education, Health Assessments, and Age-Specific requirements. (Employees not in compliance will be placed on leave without pay.)
• Adhere to all policies regarding time and attendance.
• Maintain professional appearance according to policy, including wearing s.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN or actively enrolled in a BSN program preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of ED hospital nursing experience and experience as a charge nurse.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license; certification in the clinical area preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC, ENPC, and CEN preferred.

Additional Qualities:

• Commitment to professional development, leadership qualities, and clinical excellence. 2-4 years of experience in the specialty area.
