Practical Nursing Instructor
Overview
Nursing Instructor position: full-time/daytime faculty position in the Practical Nursing Program. This 10-month, full-time role involves didactic, simulation lab, and clinical instruction. The position will include student advisement and discipline, accreditation activities including course and program revision, program development, assessment development and monitoring, and other professional duties as directed by the Health Careers Coordinator or Supervisor of Adult & Continuing Education.

Responsibilities- Perform didactic, simulation lab, and clinical instruction for the Practical Nursing Program.
- Student advisement and discipline as required.
- Accreditation activities including course and program revision.
- Program development, assessment development, and monitoring.
- Perform other professional duties as directed and/or approved by the Health Careers Coordinator or Supervisor of Adult & Continuing Education.
- Masters of Science in Nursing required (will consider actively enrolled).
- Unencumbered New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Minimum experience two years as an RN with medical-surgical experience.
- Current CPR/BLS card and/or instructor card.
- Pre-Employment Assessment and NYSED Requirements:
Approved fingerprints prior to hire, DASA Training and SAVE Workshop, Child Abuse Identification Workshop, and acquisition of certification as per hire. - Upload requirements: cover letter, resume, NYS RN License copy, and BSN verification with online application.
$55,000-$60,000. This is a full-time, 10-month position. Compensation is commensurate with experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement.
