Provides health education and guidance for all hospital employees through a comprehensive employee health and workers’ compensation program that includes initial first aid, care and assistance to employees who become ill or injured inisters immunizations and inoculations to prevent the spread of communicable diseases and meets current regulatory standards. Monitors employee health to protect patients and employees, prevent accidents and illnesses.
Prepares and conducts ongoing health in‑services. Ensures the timely processing of employee workers’ compensation claims; evaluates occurrence reports to determine accuracy and completeness. Assesses and ensures adequate investigation process. Administers the Transitional Duty Program. Responsible for maintaining and reporting the OSHA 300 and 300A log.
- 4‑year Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, medical technology, clinical laboratory science, public health or other health‑related field.
- Current state professional license as required by profession or certification/registration as required by field of practice.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) desirable (or certify when eligible).
- BLS required.
- 1 to 3 years acute care experience preferred; active participation in facility clinical improvement activities. Previous employee health, medical office, and/or infection control experience preferred.
