We are seeking a Director for the Ambulatory Surgery Pre-operative and PACU departments. This role is well supported by senior perioperative nursing leaders and is a great opportunity to learn additional healthcare business skills and principles, including strategy and innovation.

• Desired leadership attributes for this role include strong communication and listening skills, the ability to lead and influence teams, communication and relationship management in an interdisciplinary environment and professionalism.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Nursing (BSN), MSN preferred or equivalent graduate degree
• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Ambulatory surgery/PACU/Surgical stepdown experience
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive nursing experience, with a focus on PACU and/or AMSU.
• ICU experience
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams and overseeing operations.
• 3-5 years of nursing clinical care with Charge Nurse
• Minimum of one-year supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership and management ability
• Licensing and Certification Requirements required within 6 months of hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Issuing Agency: AHA
• Pediatric Advanced life Support (PALS) Issuing Agency: AHA
• Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN®)
