This role is a full-time, day shift position located in Carmel, NY. Monday - Friday. Mostly 7am - 4pm.

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Special Procedures Outpatient group.

As a Procedures nurse, you will have many daily tasks, including seeing new patients, assessing symptoms, monitoring existing patients, and providing follow-up care and instructions to surgical patients.

You will contribute to pre-operative preparation and post-operative management and care of patients undergoing general surgical procedures.

You will serve as a liaison between the patient and the physician.

You will assess patient status, pertinent lab work, and vital signs to notify physician of any potential foreseen complications or contraindication to procedure.

Evaluation and implementation of standing orders/protocols as needed based on patients status.

Intra-operative care and monitoring of patients throughout surgical procedures.

You will help with setting up the procedure room, sterile surgical tables and equipment preparation for procedures as needed. Assist with room turnover between cases as needed.

PLEASE Do Not Apply unless you have prior med-surge, OR, or surgical, perioperative experience either in an outpatient type of facility, multi-specialty, ambulatory, hospital or similar.

• Valid NYS Registered Nurse License
• Minimum of (1) year of med/surg, OR, procedural or related perioperative experience in a hospital, surgical suite, ambulatory or similar setting.
• Ability to commute to Carmel, NY, Mon-Fri, mostly 7am-4pm.
