Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Registered Nurse at NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn for the 2025 Fall/Winter New Graduate RN cohort.

• Performs nursing care and outcomes for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
• Documents patient assessment, reassessment, progress toward goal achievement, and all other required documentation accurately and timely.
• Promotes patient safety and quality, including adherence to National Patient Safety Goals.
• Communicates and collaborates effectively with the health‑care team, escalating situations appropriately.
• Establishes caring relationships with patients, families, and health‑care team members.
• Administers medication and parenteral therapy in accordance with policy and procedure, including blood administration.
• Prioritizes patient care delivery, utilizes critical‑thinking skills, and coordinates and completes patient‑care responsibilities independently or appropriately delegating.
• Provides patient/family education and assists in discharge planning, considering readiness barriers and alternatives.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary for nursing care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age‑related criteria pertinent to the patients served.
• Performs other duties aligned with the mission and values of the organization.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN).
• Registered Nurse license – New York State.
• BLS certification.
• Effective communication with all levels of the organization.
• Commitment to professional growth and accountability.
