Senior Nurse

SBH Health System is a 460-bed hospital and trauma center located in the south-central Bronx. We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, full-scope Certified Nurse Midwife to join our team of seven midwives and ten attending physicians. Together, our collaborative team supports approximately 700 births annually. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a midwife seeking a rewarding career with the flexibility of a predictable schedule. You will enjoy regular weekday shifts with no weekend, night, or holiday coverage. The weekly schedule includes four days in an ambulatory setting (including telehealth appointments) and one dedicated labor room shift. As a valued member of our team, you will manage an independent patient caseload, with supportive physicians and MFMs available for consultation and co-management as needed.

You will provide a full range of gynecological services as well as prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care.

Our midwives oversee the fetal testing unit, facilitate Centering Pregnancy clinics and the Baby Shower program, first assist on cesarean sections, and admit, discharge, and round on patients. They also support the Baby-Friendly initiative, precept medical and midwifery students, and participate in administrative duties. Through these responsibilities, our midwives exercise significant autonomy in patient care while offering essential support and guidance to patients throughout their lifespan.

• Active NYS CM License
• 5 years of current midwifery experience
• MS in nursing, or DPN, specializing in midwifery
• CNM midwifery certification from AMCB
• Current RN license
• Active DEA
