Job Summary

Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing is a 258‑bed facility located in the Hudson Valley that delivers sub‑acute and long‑term care in a calm, friendly, and healthy environment.

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor – Double Weekend

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday

• Supervises and coordinates activities of nursing personnel engaged in specific nursing services on each of the nursing units.
• Staffs each unit to reflect staffing needs in accordance with facility staffing policy.
• Participates with the Assistant Director of Nursing and the Director of Nursing in the development and implementation of the nursing service philosophy and objectives.
• Supervises Charge Nurses in managing nursing care responsibilities.
• Inspects unit areas to verify that resident/patient needs are met.
• Completes nursing records and facility documentation (including paperwork as assigned).
• Participates in and makes recommendations for disciplinary action for staff; assists with performance evaluations on direct care staff in consultation with the Unit Manager/Charge Nurse.
• Function in the role of Registered Nurse:
  Charge Position if required.
• Reports all cases of alleged violations involving mistreatment, neglect or abuse, including injuries of unknown origin.
• Responsible for safety in the area of supervision.
• Conducts appropriate rounds on all nursing units.
• Oversees accountability of assignment sheets, documentation, medication and direct resident care issues.
• Admits or delegates admissions of new residents/patients.
• Determines the necessity of calling a physician.
• Delegates, assists and reviews shift‑to‑shift reports.
• Communicates all tour of duty activities to management for the next shift.
• Assists residents in participating in individual activities of choice (e.g., equipment setting, positioning assistance, providing sufficient lighting and space).

• Requires movement throughout the entire facility.
• Able to bend, lift, transport equipment and residents.

• Must have a valid Registered Nurse (RN) state license in NY.
• Preferred:
  Skilled Nursing experience.

Pay range: $43.00 – $46.00 per hour
