Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides basic nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or physician. Responsible for delivering safe, effective, and compassionate patient care while supporting the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

• Provide direct patient care including vital signs, wound care, medication administration, and patient hygiene.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring accurate documentation and smooth transitions of care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for adverse reactions and reporting changes in patient condition promptly.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care plans.
• Collect specimens, perform basic diagnostic tests, and assist with procedures as required.
• Educate patients and families on care instructions, medications, and health maintenance.
• Ensure safe and clean patient environments by following infection control and safety practices.
• Support patient mobility, including ambulation, positioning, and use of assistive devices.
• Respond to patient calls and needs promptly, ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction.
