For over 125 years, Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home located in the Bronx, New York has been dedicated to the palliative care of advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. Through a caring, compassionate philosophy of non-abandonment, the hospice provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. The hospice receives patients from referring institutions throughout New York City and the entire tristate area.

The Hospice On-Call Field RN is responsible for providing emergent and urgent nursing care to hospice patients during after-hours periods. This role includes assessing patient conditions, implementing care plans, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and adherence to the patient’s goals of care.

• Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience, including hospice, medical-surgical, or community home health.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Strong clinical expertise in end-of-life care and symptom management.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in using EMR systems and basic computer applications.
• Has an ability to work flexibly and handle sensitive situations compassionately.
• Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work non-judgmentally with diverse patient populations.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
