Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing seeking Full-Time and Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) for day (7a-3p), evening (3p-11p), overnight (11p-7a) shifts, and double weekend shifts. We are also offering a $3,000 sign‑on bonus for the Full‑Time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) position and $1,500 sign‑on bonus for the Part‑Time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) position!

Pay Rate: $18.00-$25.00/hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA):- Performs duties such as: activities of daily living- bathing, dressing, assistance in nutrition and hydration, locomotion/ambulation, feeding, incontinence care, toileting, oral hygiene, skin care, grooming such as: comb/brush hair, nail care, shave. Bowel and bladder assistance, maintenance rehab, proper understanding of least restrictive device regulations, proper utilization of restraint devices, special care needs.
- Provide for residents with special needs related to their diagnosis (i.e. behavioral issues, splints, etc.)
- Reports all cases of alleged violations involving mistreatment, neglect or abuse including injuries of unknown sources.
- Documents resident care accurately and completely at point of care utilizing computerized medical record system.
- Notes resident changes of condition and reports same to LPN/RN.
- Answers call bells in a timely and polite manner.
- Assists in provision of post‑mortem care.
- Reports on duty, listens to and/or obtains report from Charge Nurse, receives assignment.
- Makes two hour and prn rounds on all residents.
- Keeps unit neat and clean; straightens nourishment station, clean and dirty utility room and other areas as assigned.
- Ensure the resident is out of bed, dressed and ready to participate in activities of choice.
- Provide assistance with ADLs during activities if necessary.
- Assist resident to participate in individual activities of choice, (i.e.: set up of equipment, positioning assistance, providing sufficient lighting and space).
- Requires movement throughout entire unit.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and move a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, lift, and transport equipment.
- Must be able to lift and turn residents.
- Requires ability to utilize computerized medical record system for the purposes of medical record documentation.
- Care for multiple residents in the facility. Observe Resident Rights.
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
- Assist nurse with admitting, transferring, and discharging residents.
- Assist nurse in giving treatments and examining residents.
- Assist with restorative and rehab care with proper instruction and supervision.
- Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Required
Education and Experience: - Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of practice and employment.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.
