The individual in this role will assist providers, nurses, and patients by conducting administrative and patient care activities to keep the facility running smoothly. The Licensed Practical Nurse is also responsible for initial patient greeting and general assisting of medical support in the center. This individual provides safe, effective, and compassionate care that is consistent with the State, Federal and Company guidelines, Company policies and procedures, and within his/her scope of practice.

Compensation Range: $34.00-$38.00/hour

Primary Responsibilities
  • Ensure complete and accurate daily electronic charting documentation and reporting in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Implement orders and changes, including communication to appropriate disciplines.
  • Demonstrate competencies in all facility policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all clinical and technical issues.
  • Assist in the implementation of CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) improvement activities. Participate on committees, task forces, and work groups on a voluntary and appointed basis.
  • Complete the daily run/flow sheet review on treatments as assigned.
  • Demonstrate appropriate emergency response following established protocols and complete all documentation in accordance with Company policy.
Coaching and Supervising
  • Complete daily staff assignments ensuring completion of assigned tasks.
  • Take on additional responsibilities according to regional guidelines.
Patient Care and Communication
  • Provide direct patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and continuous manner as related to scope of practice.
  • Under the supervision of the licensed registered nurse, deliver specific infusion therapy care to assigned patients as prescribed.
  • Report and provide patient assessments, communicating with the Care Team as indicated.
  • Communicate patient condition changes and/or problems with medical staff and other healthcare team members on an ongoing basis.
  • Perform admission assessments on assigned patients as well as ongoing assessments.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills and professional communication.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Attend corporate events and staff meetings as directed.
  • Enforce and adhere to all HIPAA compliance policies.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with all colleagues, managers, and customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of accredited LPN/LVN school and current (active), valid State license.
  • Must obtain CPR/BLS certification within the first 90 days if not already certified.
  • Must have current IV certification.
  • Infusion experience preferred or may complete an on-site training course.
  • Must have demonstrated record of and commitment to safety; and dedication to excellence.
  • Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with other staff members, patients and physicians.
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Must have computer skills including data entry, navigation around software and basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Travel is minimal in this role, can be up to 15% depending on region.
