Staff Development & Employee Health Nurse (RN)
Location: Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center.
Employment Type: Full-Time.
Position Summary: Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to serve as the Staff Development and Employee Health Nurse. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering education and training programs for nursing and facility staff, overseeing employee health functions, and supporting infection control and quality assurance initiatives. This position involves potential exposure to blood and body fluids.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Serve as the facility’s Employee Health Nurse.
- Plan, develop, coordinate, and deliver educational programs for nursing service personnel.
- Coordinate and conduct orientation programs for all new employees.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate special in‑service training sessions for all facility staff.
- Promote professional growth and development opportunities for individual staff members.
- Develop instructional materials and evaluate commercially produced educational resources for staff development.
- Coordinate demonstrations and training on new and existing equipment.
- Coordinate and support Infection Control protocols in collaboration with nursing leadership.
- Act as a liaison with other departments in developing and implementing in‑service education programs.
- Participate in the facility’s Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
- Maintain current knowledge of nursing practices, regulatory requirements, and educational methodologies.
- Evaluate resident care needs from both resident and staffing perspectives and recommend education or procedural revisions as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
- Maintain professional competency through participation in continuing education programs, in‑service training, and seminars.
- Participate in facility committees as assigned.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Experience in staff development, education, infection control, or long‑term care preferred.
- Strong teaching, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to staff education, infection control, and employee health.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Fast‑paced healthcare environment with frequent interaction with staff at all levels.
