**** Hours/Days: 4/10 Hour Shifts;
Mon-Wed, Fri 8a-6p (Thursday RDO)  Organization:
New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS)**## ##
** In This Role, You Will:**
* ** Administer chemotherapeutic and biologic agents, as well as supportive care medications as prescribed by a physician**
* ** Recognize and treat cancer-related and treatment-related issues.**
* ** Monitor and chart vital signs, document in the medication administration record**
* ** Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge**
* ** Participate in cancer research trials, administering medications per protocol**
* ** Provide supportive resources to patients and caregivers to promote health and wellness**
* ** Teach patients and caregivers families regarding treatment expectations.**
* ** Monitor patient status during the administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive medications.**
* ** Chart the patient’s response to treatment and medication.**
* ** Educate patients and caregivers about follow up care and emergency services**##
** We Require:**
* ** Valid New York State RN License**
* ** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.**
* ** Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.**
* ** Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)**
* ** Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching**
* ** Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when administering cytotoxic agents and handling blood borne pathogens and bodily fluids**
* ** Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.**
* ** Reliable transportation to travel to NYCBS locations throughout Suffolk county**##
