The PositionWe seek an RN – Clinical Coordinator (Pre‑Surgical Screening) in the New York, NY area. The candidate will focus on safe and efficient nursing operations, partnering with the Patient Care Director and onsite departments to develop and execute initiatives that enhance patient and provider experience. The role includes a generous salary and benefits (not remote).
Responsibilities- Provide essential clinical leadership for PSS and supervise clinical support staff (RNs, PCAs); manage hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance.
- Facilitate onboarding, continuing education, and ongoing assessment of nursing staff; supervise and verify clinical competencies.
- Utilize performance management cycle (define expectations, set goals, provide feedback, coach, mentor, corrective action) to help staff fulfill responsibilities.
- Collaborate with PCD on recruitment and hiring of nursing staff.
- Collaborate with PCD to establish and promote consistent nursing policies and practices.
- Support the Patient Care Director by managing operations of PSS in absence and completing special projects as assigned.
- Function as nursing supervisor during operation hours as needed.
- Schedule nursing/clinical support to meet provider needs.
- Act as Timekeeper for all nursing/clinical support staff.
- Room patients, prepare for exams, review past medical history, obtain patient data.
- Measure and lead quality initiatives, promote culture of safety.
- RN license registered in NY.
- BSN from an accredited nursing school.
- BLS required.
- National certification in area of practice required.
- Four or more years of nursing with clinical leadership or management experience; preferably in hospital or medical office.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and influence in complex, multi‑departmental environment.
- Experience with Epic to support operational and clinical activities strongly preferred.
