Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a NY license, recent Epic experience, and advanced certifications for variable 12-hour shifts.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
- Care for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics
- Rotating 12-hour shifts: three 12-hour shifts one week, four 12-hour shifts the next
- Expect to work a minimum of every other weekend and required holidays
- No block scheduling is allowed
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
- Responsible for delivering care to patients of all ages with varying acuity in a fast-paced ED environment
- Applicants must be able to adjust their schedule to accommodate unit and patient care needs
- Holiday coverage is required and will be assigned according to department needs
- Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April due to regional weather conditions
- Active NY RN license; candidates with proof of pending NY license will be considered
- Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience required
- Certifications required: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (or proof of class attendance with date applied)
- Preferred certifications include CEN, ENPC, CPEN, and ABLS
- Recent experience with Epic EMR system required
- Reliable personal or rental transportation is required due to lack of public transportation
