Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Evening; Shifts Rotating Weekends

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at New York-Presbyterian/Queens Hospital is responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic surgical environment. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a collaborative and innovative setting, focusing on outstanding patient outcomes.

• Pay: $59.57-$66.29/Hourly
• Location: Flushing, NY
• Facility: New York-Presbyterian/Queens Hospital
• Schedule: Full Time Evening (8 hour shifts; 11A - 7P) including rotating weekends and holidays

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist in scrubbing and circulating during surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Educate patients and families about surgical procedures and recovery.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.
• Document patient care and surgical procedures accurately.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required

Experience:

• At least two years of acute care RN experience in Operating Room/Ambulatory Surgery preferred

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current New York State RN license
• BCLS from the American Heart Association required
• CNOR certification preferred
