About This Role
The Assistant Nurse Manager for Medical Surgical at NYU Langone Hospital
- Brooklyn provides clinical leadership and management for a patient care unit, ensuring excellence in patient service and staff development while applying evidence-based practices.
- Pay: $142,687 - $166,950/year
- Location: Brooklyn, NY
- Facility: NYU Langone Hospital
- Brooklyn - Schedule: Full-Time, Evening shift

- Collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure excellence in quality, patient experience, and efficiency.
- Develop positive and productive relationships across disciplines to achieve shared goals.
- Facilitate and support positive work and care environments based on diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
- Engage and meaningfully recognize staff.
- Collaborate with the nurse manager on interviews and ensure proper onboarding and evaluation of employees.
- Evaluate performance and assess practice of designated personnel fairly and transparently.
- Serve as a role model and resource for staff, promoting professional growth and development.
- Monitor staff attendance and ensure appropriate staffing and skill mix.
- Coordinate care delivery and assignment of staff based on patient care needs.
Education:
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required
Experience:
- 2 years of experience required
Licenses &
Certifications:
- Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in New York State
- Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association
- Clinical certification in the patient population served or nurse leader certification preferred
