The Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) Registered Nurse is based in a healthcare facility and provides expert, patient-centered care to individuals with complex cardiac and post-open heart conditions. This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Experience:
NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License, BLS certification, at least 2 years of Post Open Heart and Cardiac Care Unit experience, minimum of 2 years RN experience, 1 year travel experience for travel positions (not required for Per Diem), EPIC experience highly preferred. - Schedule:
Night shifts, 11.5 hours per shift, minimum of 34.5 hours per week. - Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive patient care based on the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans. Educate patients and caregivers about their care and transition plans. Conduct thorough and therapeutic communication to support patient safety and satisfaction. Perform charge nurse duties as assigned and facilitate patient throughput. Maintain documentation according to institutional, regulatory, and legal standards.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety practices. Participate in professional development and unit initiatives to enhance clinical skills and knowledge. - Additional Information:
The role requires a minimum of 2 years' experience in ICU or cardiac care, with an emphasis on excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a high patient census. The position involves working a night shift schedule with weekends required and adhering to staffing guidelines.
