Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg

Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) travel assignment in Utica, NY. Start date 11/23/2026 for a 13-week duration. Weekly pay ranges from $2,177 to $2,319 per week with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift is night, on a 2x3 schedule (6:30 pm–7:00 am); block scheduling is not promised. • Provide direct nursing care to adults on a Med-Surg unit, including post-operative monitoring and care for conditions such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity (bariatric surgery)
• Administer medications, manage IV pumps, and support NG/tube feeding when needed; monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses in the electronic health record (EPIC); coordinate with the multidisciplinary team for admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Assist with patient education, mobility, wound care, pain management, and safety/compliance with clinical protocols
• Demonstrate flexibility with floating to other Med-Surg units and maintain adaptability to unit needs and patient acuity

• Active New York Registered Nurse license;
  Nursys license verification required with an active NY license and all active RN licenses
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Minimum 2+ years of Med-Surg nursing experience; travel experience required with documented prior travel assignments
• EMR experience, specifically EPIC
• RTO requests must be included at submission; ability to work in an inpatient Med-Surg setting; valid driver's license with address matching demographics
• Demonstrated ability to float to other Med-Surg units as needed
