Hospital-Based | Ellis Hospital | Schenectady, NY | Block ScheduleGly Care is a hospital-based group practice specializing in inpatient diabetes and glycemic management. Our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants deliver protocol-driven, evidence-based care to hospitalized adults on Med‑Surg and Step‑Down units (non‑ICU), with endocrinology support.
Why Join Gly Care- $3,000 Sign-On Bonus available for qualified candidates with at least one year of diabetes or endocrinology experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, or recent Hospitalist
- Specialty training provided – no diabetes background required
- Predictable block schedules
- Part‑Time:
Mon–Tues + every other weekend OR Thur–Fri + opposite weekends ~12 shifts/month with full benefits - Base pay: $60-65/HR base + monthly uncapped RVU bonuses

- Strong mentorship and ongoing education via Gly Care University, on campus, and virtual chart review
- Provide consultative inpatient diabetes/glycemic management (non‑ICU)
- Independently round using established protocols
- Manage ~25 patients/day
- Participate in rotating phone‑only after‑hours call
- Active New York NP or PA license
- NP: FNP, AGNP, or ACNP
- Inpatient experience required
- EMR proficiency
- New grads welcome
- DEA not required
- Minimum 1-year contract commitment
