Travel Registered Nurse ER

Registered Nurse, ER – Plattsburgh, NY. Travel assignment starting 10/15/2026 for 5 weeks. Earn $507-$547 per week with 0.0 guaranteed hours. Evening, 12-hour shifts (3x12) in a hospital emergency department setting.

  Emergency Department in a 341-bed hospital with Level 3 trauma center

• Deliver direct emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients, including triage, assessment, monitoring, and treatment planning.
• Administer medications, initiate and manage IV therapy and drips, and participate in resuscitation as needed.
• Document care in EPIC EMR accurately and promptly; monitor patient status and escalate to providers as appropriate.
• Support airway management and basic respiratory therapies; coordinate with the respiratory team as necessary.
• Manage boarded patients, psychiatric patients, and high-acuity cases while maintaining patient safety and appropriate flow through the ED.

• Active New York RN license (or proof of application with applied date); license on file at time of submission; NY licensing may take several weeks.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (TNCC must be active or proof of class prior to start); NIHSS required.
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; minimum 1 year of ER/ED specialty experience.
• Ability to work in a high-volume ED with fluctuating census and nurse-to-patient ratios (1:5 commonly, with higher ratios at times).
• Must be comfortable working in a busy environment with adherence to unit protocols and policies.

• Orientation: 20 hours for short contracts (24 hours for 13-week contracts)

• Dedicated support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC during the assignment
