American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position in New York requiring a NY RN license, Epic experience, and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

• Work in the Medical/Surgical ICU, including burn and thermoregulation cases
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active NY RN license required in hand
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior charge experience highly preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficient in IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC line care, and IV medication titration including vasoactive and sedation drips
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition, and IV insulin protocols
• Experienced in infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE

• Provide critical care nursing to medical and surgical ICU patients, including burn and thermoregulation cases
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation and continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade
• Must reside within a 75 mile radius of the facility
• First time travelers may be considered
• Returning staff must have at least 6 months since their last assignment system-wide
• Candidates with more than 10 days of requested time off will not be considered
