The Endoscopy Registered Nurse provides specialized patient-centered care by assessing, monitoring, and supporting patients throughout endoscopic procedures. The RN collaborates with the healthcare team, delivers patient and family education, and ensures safe, effective care through strong clinical judgment, technical expertise, and accurate documentation.

* Roles and Responsibilities:

**** Assess patients with a variety of needs. Use a person-centered care approach in the development of care, and effectively prioritize patient needs that are both expected and unanticipated.
* Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact with other health care professional and patients.
* Demonstrate competence and resourcefulness in the implementation of the technical skills required to care for the patient. Demonstrates initiative in remaining current in the organization and department policies, procedures, and standards.
* Evaluates effectiveness of care giving, shows follow through on delivery, demonstrates critical thinking skills by making appropriate clinical decisions, proactively addresses actual and potential problems, and executing compliant clinical documentation.
* Assist with educating patients and families and serves as a resource on department standards for patient care.

Skills and Experience:

**** Registered professional nurse with current NYS license or eligible to obtain.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) Required or obtained within 90 days of hire
*** Preferred

Skills and Experience:

**** BSN preferred
* One year of Endoscopy experience

* Physical Requirements:

**** Appreciable physical effort required; lifting, pulling, pushing, and moving patients of various size, capabilities and abilities. Some lifting, reaching, and stooping. Required to be on feet much of the time.
*** Location, Travel and Shift Requirements:
**** Onsite at Arnot Health
* Travel between St. Joseph and Arnot Hospital
* Per Diem Day/Evening no call or holidays
* Ten or twelve hour shifts between 6:30am-7:30pm.
*** Pay Range Disclosure:
**** Standard Rate of $46.50 per hour plus benefits
