Registered Nurse - Med Surg-North Night Shift- Alt Weekend

• Schedule: Full-Time, Night Shift

• Collect patient health data by involving the patient, family, and other health care providers.
• Perform initial assessment based on patient's presentation.
• Record relevant data on the nursing component of the Interdisciplinary Admission Assessment.
• Demonstrate awareness of the special needs of each age group or culture served.
• Perform ongoing assessments as established by department policy and as warranted by the patient's response.
• Incorporate discharge planning into the admission process.
• Analyze assessment data to identify problems and expected outcomes individualized to the patient.
• Communicate expected outcomes to the patient, family, and other health care providers.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Document the initial plan of care and provide updates as required.

• Completion of a two-year training at an accredited School of Nursing required.

• 1-2 years of experience in relevant department preferred.

• Current New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required (ICU, Float pool, Emergency Dept, Cardiology).
• TCAR Certification (SICU & PACU within first year) required.
• PALS and TNCC required for Emergency Dept RN within first year.
• CPI and BERT training required for Behavioral health RNs within the first 6 months.
