About This Role
The Experienced Postpartum Registered Nurse position at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is ideal for compassionate nurses dedicated to providing exceptional care during the postpartum phase. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a focus on women's health.
Highlights- Pay: $122,859 - $161,605/year
- Location: Brooklyn, NY
- Facility: New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital
- Schedule: Full-time, Night shift
- Provide comprehensive postpartum care to mothers and newborns.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
- Support and mentor new nursing staff and students.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Inpatient Obstetric Nursing experience preferred
Certifications:
- Current New York State RN license
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
